For a secluded group escape… River Ranch Mudgee
Location: Mudgee, New South Wales, Australia
Distance from Sydney: approx 4 hours
Just 15 minutes outside of Mudgee, this secluded old barn style home is the perfect mix of country living and luxury. Situated atop a hill, you can enjoy uninterrupted 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside – a perfect spot to be from sunrise to sunset. Spend the morning taking in the crisp air on a walk through the rolling hills, alongside the alpacas and horses. Then, as the day warms up, you may find yourself by the river taking a dip (albeit a quick one in winter), fishing or just enjoying a picnic lunch amidst the tranquil sounds of the river water and Australian bush. As the day draws to a close, head back indoors for a game of pool before watching the sunset and cosying up beside the fireplace for the night. Or if it’s a clear night, head outside to try your luck at spotting a shooting star!
